Essilor Vision Foundation supports “Eye Can Play: A Healthy Eyeffair” in Manila


At the Generation Unified Social Impact Summit held last year during the Special Olympic World Games in Los Angeles, California, two Filipino girls Brina Maxino and Sashi Montaña’s project idea of a fun and interesting eye care event was voted in the top 5 of 70 proposals. Their idea, “Eye Can Play: A Healthy Eyeffair”, supported by the Essilor Vision Foundation, came to reality on 2 July 2016 at the SM Sucat Entertainment Hall in Manila. Through this event, Special Olympics athletes, their caregivers and families had the opportunity to learn more about the importance of healthy vision through interactive and engaging games.  In addition, 49 athletes were given a full eye screening.
